December 2 1964 are inaugurated in Havana, the University City José Antonio Echeverría, Cujae that welcomed to the engineering students and architecture.

I gestate nobleman that of homenajear with their name, to a student unquestionable leader, become in the Cuban youth's symbol that knew with the delivery of their life to respond at their time, placing in the highest thing the fair conjunction of the political commitment and the human quality.

So Cujae was born this way, already taking that impronta that we summarize in vocation for the Homeland, trust in the future and the aspiration always renovated of growing.

They have already spent forty three years of our beginning, more the essence is in the seed, imbricate to our mission of forming competitive professionals, with scientific thought and committed in the development of our society.

In more than four decades, they have been many the transformations experienced in content, registrations, teaching modalities, perspectives, and in that great power of the communication that, revolutionized with the new technologies, it has included us in a net of easy access and reciprocal influences. Justified, because that take advantage of their possibilities to multiply contacts, to add exchanges and to narrow relationships of fertile dialogue.

Our University opens its doors here. The visitor will have the opportunity to enter and to come closer to the institutional profile, to travel abilities, to share our campus, to know of the cultural identity and to identify common objectives. Hopeful we extend this bridge, with the optimism not only of showing him/her their careers and chore, but also the one of joining wills to respond to that convocation of the Higher education of today's world that demands to approach the future in a different way and to fulfill the tasks assigned to the technical and social education.
