Presentation
The José Antonio Echeverría Polytechnic University, Cujae,
is Cuba's leading higher education center in the
field of technical sciences and architecture.
We would like the scientific and academic community
to the XIV SCIENTIFIC CONVENTION ON ENGINEERING
AND ARCHITECTURE (CCIA 14) to be held in Havana City, Cuba from December 1st to December 5th 2008.
The 14 CCIA includes events that have proved successful
on previous occasions and new ones, and it covers
the most important issues concerned with the scientific,
technological, pedagogical and managerial development
of engineering and architecture.
The Convention is a follow-up of the 13 previous conferences on Engineering and Architecture. It includes activities that were successful in previous conferences and in other events, and comprises the most important research results in the technological, scientific, pedagogical and managerial fields in engineering and architecture.
The Thirteenth Conference will develop events
with various technical profiles.
All scientific activities will take place at the International Conference Center, located in Havana City. All delegates can attend any of the events and will have other choices in order to get familiar with Cuba’s culture.
Prestigious experts, well known in Cuba and abroad, will give lectures on interesting topics. In each event there will be not only round tables to discuss general issues, but also panels, oral presentation of open topics, as well as exhibition of posters and videos. Pre-congress courses will be taught, further information is available at the Web Site (http//www.cujae.edu.cu/ eventos/convencion) and specialized visits to interesting places will take place.
It is possible to participate at the 14th CCIA as a speaker, as an observer or companion. Students are allowed to pay a special fee.
